I only talk with strangers if it’s really necessary
Yes, I’ve definitely talked with strangers in public places a few times. For example, I asked for directions when I got lost once. Another time, I had small talk in a queue, just to pass the time. It actually felt nice and unexpected, like a random little connection.
To be honest, I don’t usually talk with strangers in public. The thing is, I’m usually shy with strangers and sometimes I feel it might be awkward. That’s why I prefer to keep my headphones on most of the time. Honestly, I only talk if it’s really necessary, like asking for help.
