I first met her when I was 10 and taking dance classes. No matter how early I arrived, she was always there before me. We’d sit in the locker room pretending to be busy with our phones and not noticing each other. One day I finally decided to start a conversation and, obviously, that was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. At first, we just made small talk, then we exchanged numbers and started calling and texting. It turned out we had so much in common, and before long we were spending time together at the park and the cinema. Naturally, we became best friends, and since then we’ve been inseparable.
You know, it doesn’t really matter what we do, as long as we’re together. Recently I’ve noticed that the older we get, the more we enjoy just sitting and talking instead of running around the city all day. In summer, we usually travel together.
She’s definitely the kind of person you want by your side. I know she’ll support me no matter what. She knows all my secrets, and I know hers. When times are tough, she’s the first person I want to talk to, and when everything’s fine, we just enjoy each other’s company. So when people ask me if we’re sisters, I always say no because honestly, we’re closer than sisters.
